Hello Friends,    

 First of all let me “Thank You” for bestowing the honor of being the President of our Alma Mater, The Photographic Society of India, on me. I am delighted to be re-associated with the PSI in a new role. Of course, I have had the chance to be the Honorary Secretary of our PSI in the past. However, now the new role gives me an opportunity to serve the PSI and ultimately, the members, in a better way.

I have always cherished the thought of bringing our young talent to photography. I firmly believe that the youth is the pillar of any institution and the seniors are the guiding force for such institutions. I, therefore, want that the young members come forward for every activity that the PSI undertakes. May it be a photography-related activity or any administrative task or any other matter. I am of the firm opinion that there is enormous young talent around us, only we need to reach out to them. This is because they have new and innovative ideas which are capable of taking the PSI to new heights with a jet speed.

I am also a firm believer in experienced seniors. Due to the onslaught of COVID-19, our members, in general, could not physically associate with the PSI, though they have always been and still are with the PSI in their minds. They are the storehouse of  knowledge. All of us should gather every bit of knowledge we can get from them. They have ideas and the youth have the strength to convert these ideas into reality. Therefore, if these two factors come together, we can bring about a sea of change in the PSI.

Therefore, my endeavour during my tenure as President would be to bring more youth into the PSI and also accommodate as many seniors as possible in the committees and gather ideas from them to reach the goal of grand success. I thus appeal to all past and present members, to come together and help us to take the PSI to new heights.

I am sure both young and senior members would react positively to my appeal.
